Travel by horsecart to the jetty in Old Bagan (only for the clients who are staying at the hotels in Old Bagan), otherwise transfer by vehicle. Crossing the river by boat and continuing by pick-up to TANT KYI TAUNG, also called the Glass Monastery. Perched on a hilltop, this pagoda dates back to 1059 AD, and is surrounded by 32 elephant statues facing all directions. Explore the compound, with the possibility to talk with the resident monks. Walk around the compound before continue by boat on the river, exploring some of the sandbanks and local farms.
